The best way to lead a team is to set a good example. You must be a good communicator in order to build team unity and trust. You must be able to quickly understand a client’s desires, and express the plan back to them, and remove any doubt or lack of clarity. In this manner, we can lead the internal and external teams to success.
My goal is to create a high-performing team, and inspire individual team member growth on every project. A team is only as good as its sum of its parts; you must trust the people to whom you have delegated work in order for them to grow—and to have the project succeed or excel.
A well-run project always starts off with a plan. The key to success is being able to then execute that plan—and this requires faith in the stakeholders who put the plan together in the first place. These key stakeholders must also have faith in the people they have hired to execute their plan.
Plan the work, work the plan.
